"The best"
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. I really couldnt fault anything about the service or the standard of room.
Received a huge room on a high floor with a balcony for a very good rate.
The swimming pool and spa (indoors) are so peaceful, clean and nice that I spent hours in there. The lap pool was never very busy. It also has a smallish gym.
There are so many restaurants and bars in the local area - the Concierge always secured us the best table in the restaurants so definitely worth booking through him (we went to Taxi which does great Japanese and modern aus/asian food).
Stay here - you wont be disappointed.

"Absolutely Perfect in every imaginable way"
I have to agree with the last several posts. This hotel is flawless.
From the second you are greeted by the bell staff they are sincerely friendly. They have a great touch as you exit a taxi. They give you a card with the taxi company and taxi cab number in case you leave anything in the taxi.
The front desk staff was very effecient and professional. The staff member walked me to the elevator to familarize me with its operation.
The rooms are very nice as well. Extremely large bathrooms and our room was very nice with an amazing view of the city. Housekeeping offered turn down service nightly.
This hotel seems to be a popular place with local businessmen for happy hour.
I can't say enough good things about this property. It was built right, maintained right, and is managed right.

"Superb - I woudn't even think of staying anywhere else"
This hotel is almost perfect.
The hotel is conveniently located near to Flinders St station and Federation Square. The hotel decor is clean and modern. Staff are very confident and professional. The rooms are a good size. The bathroom was spacious with a seperate rain shower and good lighting. The hotel also offers a very good buffet breakfast (ask for a table on the balcony if the weather is good).
The gym features cardio machines with TV screens, some resistance machines and free weights. One minor criticism is that the gym had a bench press but no bar-bells. One other minor criticism is that the TV channels in the room were somewhat limited (no BBC World for example).
If I was returning to Melbourne, I would definitely stay here again. I wouldn't even think of looking at any other hotel.

"Perfect again!"
This is the 3rd time I've stayed at the Westin in Melbourne and once again it was an absolutely lovely experience. It is by far my favourite hotel in Australia. The staff really do go out of their way for you, and nothing is too much bother. The room was fantastic, the amenities lovely, the breakfast the next morning in the restaurant was a real treat. Spectacular scrambled eggs! A great spread sure to satisfy even the fussiest of eaters. I really cannot emphasise my unequivocal recommendation of this hotel. A fine place!

This is one of the hotels my office has arrangements with, and for my part, it's a great choice. Well located and very comfortable with all you expect from Westin hotels.

"Girls Weekend Away"
A girlfriend and I wanted a weekend shopping and trying out some new restaurants so we booked the Westin after family recommendations. We found the staff friendly and accomodating offering us early check in and an upgrade on arrival. The rooms were spacious, modern and comfortable and the bathroom the same. We used the hotels Wellness Centre for a swim, spa and steam and the facilities were first class.
Overall we would both recommend this hotel to couples, friends and business travellers alike due to its proximity to places of interest and the "to die for" Heavenly Beds and pillows!!
Even on one of the busiest weekends Melbourne has had, Westin staff went over and above to assist and nothing was too much trouble.
Highly recommended.

"First Class"
This is a first class hotel. Well located for business on collins street, it is everything you expect from a 5 star hotel. The service is superb - definitely make you feel like a VIP. The rooms are beautifully appointed, the shower head is the size of an american dinner plate. Great in house gym - perfect for either a quick cardio session or something a little more serious. The food from room service was both prompt and high quality. Do yourself a favour and make a reservation.
